Food for Children in Summer

From Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS):

Now through August 1, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) will provide free and nutritious breakfast and lunch for all children ages 18 and under at specific sites throughout the summer. “Providing continuous meals throughout the summer helps children receive the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow,” said Dr. Kevin M. Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer for Prince George’s County Public Schools. The program will serve breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m. and lunch from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sites not far from Accokeek are:

Fort Foote Neighborhood Park
Tayac Elementary School
Isaac Gourdine Middle School* (Teen Site)
Indian Queen Elementary School
Brandywine Elementary School
Surrattsville High School

*Lunch only
