SUMMER PLAYGROUNDS
Conducted at neighborhood locations throughout the county, summer playgrounds offer games, crafts, and other fun activities for Prince George’s County residents only, ages 6-12. Children are free to come and go during the day, and to attend some days and not others. Children must meet the minimum age of 6 by the last day of the program – Friday, August 1, 2014 to attend this program. These drop-in programs operate Mondays-Fridays, June 23 until August 1:

Now through August 1, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) will provide free and nutritious breakfast and lunch for all children ages 18 and under at specific sites throughout the summer. “Providing continuous meals throughout the summer helps children receive the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow,” said Dr. Kevin M. Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer for Prince George’s County Public Schools. The program will serve breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m. and lunch from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sites not far from Accokeek are:
