Remembering Delegate James Proctor

Delegate James Proctor moved to Accokeek, Maryland in the later part of his life, having previously lived in Brandywine. I remember him saying that his wife wanted a bigger house, but he couldn’t leave the district he served.

There is a story about him in the Washington Post, Del. James Proctor, Maryland lawmaker, dies at 79. He’s also listed on Wikipedia here.

The video below is difficult to hear, but he talks about becoming a state delegate because he was an educator and he wanted to make education better for all Marylanders.
